Mulki:Samanvaya Mangalore and Gloria Women Association of Mulki Parish had organized the valedictory of Fr Bernard D’Souza Memorial six months’ Tailoring Course at Mulki Church premises on January 29, 2010.
The parish priest of Mulki Rev.Fr.Norbert Lobo distributed the certificates to women candidates who had successfully completed the course and appreciated the work done by Samanvaya. He said that “this training brought the unity among the parish women and helped to improve their talents”. Rev.Dr.Ronald Cutinha, director of Samanvaya shared his experience of the past 6 tailoring cum embroidery courses conducted in different areas of Udupi and D.K. districts under the leadership of Samanvaya. The managing trustee of Samanvaya Rev.Dr.Pius Fidelis Pinto said that the vision of Fr.Bernard has been actualized by Samanvaya. The president of Catholic Sabha of Mulki parish Mr.Rolphy D’Costa spoke on the occasion.
The chief guests Mrs.Sybil Pinto, Mrs.Benedicta Rodrigues, president of women association of Kinnigoly varado Mrs.Edna D’souza, Sr.Mabel D’souza and parish vice president as well as panchayat member Mrs.Lydia Furtado were present on the dais. 3 candidates shared their experiences. Flavy Correa welcomed, G. Emilda Crasta proposed vote of thanks and Pramila Saldanha compeered. Tailoring teacher Mrs.Linda Salins was present on the occasion.
