Mangalore: St Francis Xavier Church, Moodferar in its preparations for
the celebrations of its centenary year, released a Konkani book on 17
November 2011 titled “Jivit ek Misanv”, an
autobiography by Mr A.B. D’Souza of London who is a
Mangalorean by birth and presently settled in London for the last 54
years.
Managing Trustee of Samanvaya and Moodferar Parish Priest, Rev Dr Pius
Fidelis Pinto released the book “Jivit Ek Misanv”
and introduced its contents and author to the audience. He expressed
words of his appreciation of Mr A.B. D’Souza, who has not
detached himself from his native land and its culture even though he
has been living far away from it. His book will make an
interesting reading for all age group. Later Mr
D’Souza expressed in brief his feelings and thoughts
elaborately put in writing in his book.
Sr Mabel D’Souza, UFS, Sr Prema Gonsalves, BS, Ferar Parish
Council Vice President, William D’Souza and Mr Jacob Menezes,
NRI were also on the dais. Samanvaya Director, Rev Dr Ronald
Cutinha proposed vote of thanks and compered the event.
