Mangalore: Emirates Paradela UAE in collaboration with Samanvaya Mangalore distributed scholarships to 69 students amounting to `. 4,00,000/- prior to which there was an enlightening training on A to Z Tablets for Success in Life at Samanvaya Hall, Urwastores, Mangalore on 27th August 2011.
Rev. Dr Ronald Cutinha, Director of Samanvaya who gives utmost importance to the youth power, took the mike for students who were all ears to the unique topic ‘A to Z Tablets for Success in Life’ with power point presentation. Students had only words of praise for it. He insisted that in order to be successful in life, one should consider every available opportunity to work on. He also reminded the students that family and friends are the treasures of life who help in living our life to the fullest.
The training was followed by the distribution of scholarships after prayer song by students and lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest, Sr Mabel D’Souza UFS, Superior of Angela Convent, Bejai Mangalore and joined by the President of Emirates of Paradela Mr Herald Lobo, Secretary Mr Bennette D’Mello, Former President & his wife Ms Susan D’Mello, Mr Frankline D’Cunha, Member Mr Allan D’Mello & his wife Ms Predita D’Mello and Samanvaya Managing Trustee Rev. Dr Pius Fidelis Pinto who were on the dais.
Rev. Dr Pius Fidelis Pinto welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests on the dais. In his brief address, Fr Pius advised the students to strictly abide by the three ‘D’s, i.e. ‘Duty’, ‘Determination’ and ‘Dedication’ to achieve definite success in life.
Sr Mabel D’Souza in her address reminded the gathering of late Rev. Mother Theresa of her love and simplicity and stated that Emirates Paradela is on its path in her footsteps by dedicating its service to the poor, sick and the needy. She applauded Emirates Paradela and Samanvaya for their untiring philanthropic service to the society. She called upon the students to imbibe the points for success grasped from the training in their lives and to reap multiple benefits from the education given to them.
Mr Herald Lobo in his message stated that the students should consider the 26 tablets for success as an ‘eye opener’ in the interest of their secured bright future. He added that getting good jobs and better prospects of educated youth leads to the larger development of the society. Emirates Paradela Foundation expects that the students complete their education in flying colours and become good citizens of our country by reaching out to the needy. About Emirates Paradela Foundation, he said that besides giving student scholarship, they are also involved in the service for social causes and will continue with it.
Beneficiaries of student scholarship through Samanvaya consisted of 11 Engineering Students, 18 students of Graduation, 29 students of Pre-University Course, 3 students of B.Sc. Nursing and 2 of General Nursing, 1 student of Engineering Diploma and 5 High School students.
Mr Bennette D’Mello proposed vote of thanks. Rev. Dr Ronald Cutinha compered the entire programme with gusto. The programme concluded after a sumptuous lunch served to all gathered on the occasion.
