Manchester : The KCAUK organized its annual picnic on the 30th of July 2011 at Llandudno in Wales. This year the spirit of the picnic began from Manchester. 20 families living in the North West of England, 10 families from the Midlands and a family from South of Engalnd were a part of picnic mainly responsible for lifting up the spirit of the picnic and making the entire day a memorable and entertaining one for all.
Stany Rodrigues, the president of KCAUK welcomed the group and briefed the proceeding of the rest of the day. This was followed by a prayer from Renny Buthello. Later the enthusiastic families had a happy family gathering in the camping area. The picnic activities stared with a cable car experience where each family got into the cable cars and glided from the Happy Valley to the summit of the Great Orme (679ft) a magnificent panorama unfolds; (breathtaking views of Llandudno, the Little Orme, Conwy Estuary and beyond. The Llandudno Cable Car is the longest passenger cable car system in Britain). On completion of this magnificent experience, the lunch was served to the entire group. ‘Happy Meal’ was made available for the kids.
Soon after the lunch, various games for the adults and the children were conducted by KCA UK members. The winners have been awarded. This is followed by the well known Mangalorean rural games Dog and the Bone. At the end of the day the whole group enjoyed in the water park, kids took the maximum advantage of it. As the scheduled activities were coming to conclude Stany Rodrigues conveyed the vote of thanks. He thanked everyone for their active participations.
