Mangalore June 1, 2008:Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Varado and Konkani Sangatan Udupi District organised a workshop on Great Konkani Sahitis at Mt Rosary Churh Hall Kallianpur on 1\6\08. Smt Gladys Rego  noted Konkani writer was the resource person. She spoke on the life of JOSA Alvaris, Smt Evlalia Alvaris and  A T Lobo. She also explained the roles in the first Konkani Novel Angel and the women characters in this novel.

Presedent of the Konkani sangatan Dr Gerald Pinto introduced the speaker. President of Catholic Sabha  Felix Pinto welcomed the gathering. Secretary Avitas Carnelio proposed vote of thanks. Mr Louis D Almeida the secretary of the sagatan and representatives from all the parishes of kallianpur Varado were present.
