Mangalore 25th March:Dr.Gerald Pinto was felicitated by the Student welfare Council Muilagres College for winning the  Divo Literary Award 2007, Karnataka Konkani Honorary Award 2007, Konkan Star Award by Konkanifriends.com UK and the Book Award of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy 2007 for his Novel Thisri Thakli.

Principal Fr.Fed Mascarenhas presided over the function. Dr.Neri Carnelio felicited. Office bearers of Student Copuncil were present along with the entire student community. 

Karnataka Konkani  Sahitya Academy Book Awards 2007 are also given to Dr.Gerald Pinto for his Novel Thisri Thakli, & H J Goveas for Short Stories and Nandini( Stella D’Costa ) for poetry.  These will be presented on 29th of March at St. Aloysius College Auditorium
