Mangalore 16th March: Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion, a day on which the Church enters upon the mystery of the Death, burial and Resurrection of her Lord, brings together the triumphal procession of Christ as King and the proclamation of his Passion.

The Lord's entry into Jerusalem is commemorated by means of a solemn procession. Such procession and blessing of palms were held in St Jude Church Pakshikere on 16th March 2008.

Rev. Fr Sunil Joseph Veigas, the Assistant Parish Priest, presided over the ceremony. People as they marched toward the Church in a procession waved the palms and sang the canticles, commemorating the Lord's entry into Jerusalem.
