Bangalore 23rd Feb: A workshop on HR management in nursing was conducted by 2nd year M.Sc Nursing students of oxford college of Nursing, J.P.Nagar Bangalore On 21st  and 22nd February 2008.

The inauguration of the workshop commenced with the supplication hymn by Dinesh.M followed by the welcome speech by Metilda.V. The lighting of the lamp was done by the honourable chief guest Prof. Sridhar.K.V, the principal of the Wockhard Institute of Nursing along with Sri.S. Ramesh Raju, Executive director, of the Oxford group of educational institutions, Dr. G. Kasthuri, Principal, Professor B.B. Bhavani, Thilagavathy, Vice Principal, Professor Babu D, Mr.Veeranna, Administrator, of  Oxford College of Nursing, J.P.Nagar. Bangalore,

The initiation of  the theme was given by Dr. G. Kasthuri and the Objectives were clearly explained to the audience by Professor  B.B.Bhavani.

The Inaugural speech was given by Prof. Sridhar K.V and the presidential address by the "Dynamite" Sri.S.Ramesh Raju followed by a Tea break and a pre test to the audience.

The first section was on HRM - Intro by Prof. G. Thilagavathy followed by a group activity. The later part of the session was on HRD and effective utilization by Mr. T. L. Laxman, Senior Manager of the Apollo Hospital.

The two day programme was concluded by Prof B.B.Bhavani with thought provoking assessment on manpower planning. Vote of thanks was given by Delima.D. The entire event was well compeered by Sunitha.R who lead the role of a MC.
