Details of the Association: Our well established Association is called Mangalorean United Konkani Association ‘MUKA’. There are about 35 Families around Nottingham.(U.K) So it was decided that the only way to bring them all under one roof and maintain the unity of Mangloreans in Nottingham (U.K.) It is a beautiful face of all Mangalorean families.
Its Origin : Early this year during Lent, all families come together for the Way Of the Cross And Rev.Fr. Alexander Lewis from Kadaba Parish Mangalore was Present here, and He inspired us to built this Association And hence MUKA was formed.
Present Status : Though MUKA is Still a baby its foundation is deep rooted. With whole hearted efforts of all the office bearers, committee members and the support of all the Association members.

Inaguration : “MUKA “ was blessed by Rev.Fr. Alexander Lewis on Easter Day 16th April 2006. The committee was formed on 16th July on the general body meeting.
Unique Feature : As Mentioned Earlier MUKA depicts the face of Mangalore. We have members from all over the UK. Being with MUKA Makes us re-live our motherland in UK. MUKA’s first preference is to Keep our Mangalorean Culture alive for our future Generations.
Past Activities:
i) Easter Day Celebration –On 22nd April 2006 MUKA Organised “Easter Ekvot “ in Nottingham. A whole day event including a Holy mass and Followed by Cultural Programmes about 95 People Gathered
ii) Summer’s Day out : Summer day out was held on 6th August and was a massive success. All the age group presented their physical and mental skills, exercised their sportive talent and won prizes.
iii)MUKA is a social organization to unite and support all its members. To abide by it MUKA raised a fund for one of our fellow member .Had a major surgery off work nearly a year and is totally bed- ridden. We offered her financial and psychological support.
iv)we celebrated the Feast of Nativity (Monthi Fest) on 8th of September
v)Prayer and meditation is the utmost necessity for our spiritual well being .
An all day retreat was conducted by Rev.Fr.Abraham Dsouza, Devine Call Centre Mulki. It helped our next generation to pray and meditate. A mass was held to commemorate the reporse of the soul of Wayne Veigas who Died at the young age of 36 unexpectedly.
